B&W: Flower fangs

Usually I shoot at 16:9 aspect ratio. This is just my preferred format. One reason is I think the rule of thirds falls out from 16:9 better than other format. But I also feel 16:9 is more contemporary. Aspect ratios such as 3:2 and 4:3 feel more “traditional”.

Just my opinion.

However, just because I prefer 16:9, doesn’t mean everything I shoot is 16:9. I thought this flower worked better at 4:3.

My point is, don’t get locked into your comfort zone. Move outside the lines a little and you might be surprised by the results.
