Pets: Skeptical dog

I’ve mentioned this before, but I don’t always post the best photos. It would be impossible to do that every day, for one thing, but I think there’s something to be learned from photos that aren’t quite there.

Skeptical dog is a nice photo. And that adjective just about says it all. It’s a nice photo. Not a great photo and not an interesting photo. While it might catch your eye for a moment and you might find the title a little amusing when combined with the photo, I think it’s pretty likely this one doesn’t hold your attention very long.

So what would I have done differently?

For one thing, I would have gotten closer, tried different angles, different lighting, etc. In art terms, I should have searched for the photo, worked on it until I found the image I really liked.
