Close up: The great wave at the bottom of my mug

Getting close, very close to something can reveal things that aren’t obviously there.

This is a shadow at the bottom of an orange coffee mug I like. It was post-processed in Lightroom to bring out the colors and the shadow, and suddenly there was the image. It looks like a wave, which of course brings to mind the Hokusai’s Great Wave.
