Utilities: Power lines at Four Mile Run

A black and white, today.

In the digital age, we can easily make a photo black and white, if we so desire. I don’t want everything in black and white. Obviously, yesterday’s image with the blood red wall and blue meters wouldn’t have been a totally different, and probably dull, photo without color.

So for me, I think about how a photo will work best, often viewing the photo in black and white, before I decide.

With Power lines at Four Mile Run, it was easy to go with black and white, because black and white heightens the lines created by the power lines. In a way, the lines create their own geometry which wouldn’t have come through as readily if this was a color image.
