Vegas: Couple passing through light and shadow
I’m not a street photographer for a bunch of reasons, but I do like the randomness of photographing people in public, especially when capturing them in a particular setting seems to tell a deeper story.
This is a couple I captured walking past a colonnade at the Venetian in Las Vegas. The shadows of the columns provide a stark contrast to the bright, desert light passing between them.
Shadows and light don’t mix, in this case: They stand almost in clear opposition to each other.
Maybe that’s symbolic of what this couple will go through, the highs and lows, the ups and downs, the light and the dark. Maybe?
Maybe the two women are just friends. Maybe it’s just two good friends walking through a space with some awesome shadows.
I certainly don’t know. I just find these stories going through my head when I look at images like this.
