Random: Foliage

A tree photo in black and white. I’ve talked about this before–one of the things I really like to use black and white for is to emphasize patterns and shapes. In this case, the color photo would just look like another tree photo with green leaves. The color would detract from what I actually like about the image: The patterns of the leaves against the white sky and the black shape of the tree creeping into that pattern. It’s a bit scary and ominous to me. But my perception kinda leans that way.
