Nature: The beauty of the thorns
I do try to look at things differently. I hope you’ll see that as my work evolves. Already, I see in my beginning work where I was just doing the same old thing. That’s okay, while I’m learning, but I don’t want to be doing that forever. As with all things in life, I should be evolving.
In order for your work to stand out, you can be technically amazing, but it also helps to a lot to bring a new perspective, a fresh way of looking at things, a way few people, if any, have looked at things before.
I’ve been just as enchanted by the colorfully mundane (That’s a good way to put it, isn’t it?), as anyone else. How many people have taken pictures of roses? About a billion, at least.
I took over a dozen photos of roses, the other day and I only liked two of them. The two I liked were the pictures I took of the thorns. How often do people take pictures of thorns?
The thorns have their own beauty, which I’m happy I discovered.
