GW2: How to make 1000 gold – Mats

The Festival of the Four Winds is here. What does this mean to you as you’re trying to make money?

The first thing you’ll notice is the price of mats has gone up, almost across the board. That because the Zephyrite merchants will every type of mat in exchange for their loot boxes. You shouldn’t do this. I’ve opened over a hundred, so far, and all I got was recipes I can buy off the trading for a handful of silver. Yes, you do get festival tokens, but you’ll earn plenty of these during the event.

If you have a lot of mats around, this is a good time to sell them. If you need mats to make something for yourself, you might want to wait to make whatever you need until this event is over. If you need to mats to sell, go ahead and buy them. The price of whatever you’re making to sell will rise with the price of the mats.

So two points, today:

1. Mats are going up in price.

2. Don’t spend your mats on the Zephyrite boxes. They’re not worth it.
