GW2: How to make 1000 gold – Preparing for the April Update

Yes, I know. Not much time to prepare for the April 15th update. I’ve been off playing The Elder Scrolls Online. I have a long post coming about that, mostly unfavorable, but you’ll have to wait for that. My gaming has gotten in the way of my blogging. Hit the little donate thing over there and I’ll focus on my blogging more. : P

Anyway, there’s a big update coming to Guild Wars 2 in two days, on April 15th. There’s a whole lot of changes – class balances, rune and sigil updates, introduction of a wardrobe system – just a ton of stuff. That means the trading post is going to go nuts for a bit.

The price of runes and sigils will go up. Berserker armor sets, crit sigils and runess will still be in demand, but people will start wanting the other ones, too. I expect demand for nearly all runes and sigils to go up, at least until people figure out which ones they want. Of course, most of the crap ones will still be crap, but there’s likely to be a surprise or two. I also expect the price of already pricey non-crit sigils, such as the Superior Sigil of Torment, to go up even more as people try out other sigils.

Also, don’t forget dyes. The whole dye system is changing and in such a way that the price of dyes is going to go up across the board.

You should be prepared to meet the increased demand and make yourself some money in the process.
