GW2: Going for 1000 gold – The flagging price of damask

As you can see, there was no progress in my gold total, yesterday. There are two reasons for this. One, I’m spending a lot of time taking my own advice and farming the ever-loving crap out of the Escape from Lion’s Arch event. The other reason is my damask didn’t sell.

Why didn’t my damask sell? My damask didn’t sell because of the Escape from Lion’s Arch event.

The demand for damask hasn’t changed much, people still are making their ascended armor. What’s changed is the supply of mats you need, e.g. linen, to make damask. Linen, wool, and silk can all drop from the loot bags you get from the event. That means the supply of these has increased, meaning you can make damask cheaper.

I had to relist my damask. It sold, today, and will be reflected in tomorrow’s total, but it sold for about 1 gold cheaper than I had it listed for.
