GW2: Going for 1000 gold – Farm “Escape from LA”

Want to make some easy money? Farm the Escape from Lion’s Arch event. Run it as often as you can. I’ve never run an event in Guild Wars 2 where the drops are so plentiful. You can easily end the event with 100 loot bags and 8-12 champion bags every time. That’s hard to ignore.

If you’re looking for something to buy as an investment, you might think about the blueprint pieces for the spinal backpieces. They’re very cheap at about 1 silver each, but they’re a fairly rare drop – in a hundred loot bags you might get 1 to 3 of them. If you can still use them after the event, I’d expect the price to go up significantly once they’re not available through drops anymore.

Be sure to rescue the citizens for the best loot. The loot bag you get at 1200 sometimes has exotics and even ascended items.

My total is back up. Nice little pop. Almost to 800, now.
