GW2: Going for 1000 gold – Making gold when I want

That’s my starting total from yesterday. More than a 35 gold pop from the other day, about three times the 10 gold or so I’ve been making.

Actually, I made a lot more gold than is indicated in the increase, because I bought about 500 rags, yesterday. Someone put them  on the trading post for about 3 silver. I felt that was a good price, less than what I usually pay for them, so I bought them. All of them. That put me down about 15 gold. So overall, I made about 50 gold.

Nothing special happened. I didn’t get a single exotic or ascend recipe from the marionette. I didn’t sell anything special from my bank. I simply spent way more time crafting and selling stuff than I usually do. I did this simply to prove a point – that I could make a nice chunk of gold in a single day, if I put my mind to it.

It took about 45 minutes, so I guess if you didn’t mind you could make around 100 gold in less than 2 hours. But it’s not for me. I got bored. Forty-five minutes of buying and selling is too much. There’s gaming to be done.
