GW2: Going for a thousand gold – day 1

Today, I officially start documenting my quest for a thousand gold in Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 is primarily a MMORPG, not a financial resource game. I think if you have a little financial acumen, you could get to 1000 gold fairly quickly if you spent all your time in the game playing the trading post. Unless you’re really into finance games, that would get pretty boring. It would for me – I like to play GW2. 

I managed to get from 10 gold to my current total of over 120 gold by spending only about 10 percent of my time in-game playing the trading post. I don’t intend to do any more of that as I work towards this goal. If I spend an inordinate amount of time working the trading post, I’ll let you know and I tell you why.

So a simple ground rule. I intend to play the game, still have fun and do what I like to do in GW2; not just play the trading post.
