The next shiny thing: Defiance

Defiance is a new MMO shooter (Shhh. Don’t tell the NRA.) from Trion Worlds. It’s due for release in April. If you haven’t already, go sign up for the beta, now, because the first beta starts on January 18.

Why you should be excited:

It’s a shooter and shooters are always fun.
It’s from Trion Worlds who gave gamers a pretty good game in Rift.
It’s suppose to be a endless, open-world game.

Why you should not be excited:

It’s a shooter and shooters can get boring after about 2 weeks.
SyFy is involved. They have the magic touch of canceling or ruining everything they do.
